| Greenwoods’
data division provided and installed a complete Nordx Cat 5e low
smoke, low halogen cabling system with 600 network ports within
the custody centre using RJ45 outlets and the high density GigaBIX
frames. The police station at EMA involved an installation covering
100 RJ45 network ports. Greenwoods provided the equipment, designed
the network, and undertook the installation, testing and commissioning
of the entire system.
“Leicestershire Police needed to overhaul its existing cabling infrastructure
at the airport police station for the provision of a new voice and
data communications network,” said Barry Silverman, structured cabling
& data systems sales manager, Greenwoods Communications. “The project
involved the replacement of the constabulary’s existing outdated
communications cabling and equipment to enable it to cope with the
new converged system.”
Greenwoods worked closely with Leicestershire Constabulary and its
building contractors throughout the installation at the new custody
centre to provide a custom built network. Greenwoods is also Nordx
accredited – a pre-requisite for the Constabulary – underscoring
the high quality and expertise that it provides.
